An unused quarry in Northern Ireland is the site of a film set for the HBO medieval fantasy series "Game of Thrones".

The set is alongside the edge of the quarry dig, which (after CGI enhancement) serves as "The Wall" in the story. The set appears to be under construction in this satellite photo.

I'm guessing the other set which was built northeast of here was the site of the battle scene in the episode "Blackwater", where Lannister's men defend the city against an attack from the sea. Season 2, Episode 9.
