The Borgo Medievale or Medieval Village is a remarkable complex of buildings, near to the Castle del Valentino. Built in 1884 for the first Italian general Exposition, it comprises a 15th Century feudal castle and its village. Inspired by several famous buildings by Piedmont and Val d’Aosta, it was designed by Alfredo d’Andrade the renowned architect. The village is open to the public and visitors are able to see the houses, craft shops, the castle church and the fountain.
