On Friday 2nd September 2022, Manuel WP4TZ, a radio amateur from San Juan, PR reached the summit of Cerro de Punta and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 59 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 30 metre HF amateur radio bands.
