Charles Vance a former Secret Service agent for President Gerald Ford and Vice Presidents Hubert Humphrey and Spiro Agnew, founded Vance International, a security firm, in 1984. The company was bought by Garda Global, a Montreal-based security firm, in 2006. Vance and President Ford’s daughter, Susan, married in 1979 but later divorced.
