RIP Charlie. Heard your music in 1967 while stationed in Korea. What a great voice. We saw you in concert 4 times. Hard to believe you were better each time. Read your book, and it was clear you were a class act, and great person. You will be missed by millions, but forgotten by none!!!

I've been a fan of Charley's for over 40 years and only met him and Rozene last year. We were hoping on seeing him again next Summer and we will all miss him, but not his music. I have just about every album he made. Rozene, you have our most profound sympathies. You are in our prayers. Love you, Diane and Pete Mills

Charlie Pride was my brother-in-law's favorite singer. My brother-in-law was more like my big brother since he married my oldest sister when I was just 5 years old. They just lived 3 blocks from my house and I was at their house almost every day and went everywhere with them. In 1970, my brother-in-law died from Lupus. While he was in the hospital, I played nothing but Charlie Pride albums for him. Kiss an Angel Good Morning was his favorite song and I played that song at least a thousand times during all the hospital stays for over a year, including the day he passed. Charlie became a favorite of mine also. He 1980, I moved to Dallas, TX and ran longdistance for 20+ years. I ran right by Charlie's very large and beautiful home every day for 8 years. I always wanted to knock on his door and tell him how much my favorite brother-in-law loved him and his music, but I never had the nerve. Go in peace dear Charlie. I'm absolutely confident that Ed met you at the gate.

Charley Pride was my customer. I owned a barbershop in Arlington Texas, and after the economic downturn I lost my barbershop and had to cut hair wherever I could, Charley Pride stayed committed to being my customer, even one I had to cut hair out of a room
Inside of one of my friends art stores. Mr. Pride was my very last customer that I had to let go because I had lost everything. He was the last one to leave me. He was a faithful customer and a true true friend. I love him like a grandpa! ????He always showed me some gratitude. Thanks giving me your person Companion Bible. I wish I could be among his family and other friends.

When I was in elementary school I rode bus 99 and Charley pride's dad drove our bus. When Charley was home he would ride with his dad and I would always sit on the front seat with Charley. He was so nice to me. His nephew Eric and niece Deborah were my friends and class mates. I will always remember and cherish the memories..... Mickey wheeler. Lambert Mississippi

I was fortunate enough to see Him in concert twice, I have loved your singing for many years. My heart is broken that his voice has been silenced. My husband passed away 4 years ago and Charley’s song “I’d Rather love and lose you than never know your love at all” expresses the way I feel. Rest In Peace Love

I first heard of Charlie on his, “The Snakes Crawl At Night hit. I followed him ever since, learning and singing most of his songs. One of the smoothest voices that I’ve ever heard. Rest easy Charlie and God bless you all his precious family. My sympathy.

My aunt wrote the title to "Kiss An Angel Good Morning" at Ben Peters house in Brentwood. I remember riding with her and my mom - Edie said, "The Snakes Crawl At Night" was good, and "Just Between You and Me is a bullet!". Her husband, my uncle Jack Johnson was his manager. He mortgagd his home to help finance Charley's first tour.
As a 16 year old, I met Charley backstage at The Mid-South Coliseum in 1974. I sing and play many of his songs. I think he has the best voice in country music, ever.
