Charlotte Transportation Center

"In December 1995 a new facility opened in Center City Charlotte that provided a vision for the future, improved traffic flow and enhanced the bus riding experience for thousands. When the Charlotte Transportation Center opened at 310 East Trade Street ten years ago, approximately 10,000 customers used the facility on a daily basis, catching 153 buses that provided service on 42 routes. Today, more than 50,000 customers use the Charlotte Transportation Center daily, with 322 buses providing service on 75 routes. Ridership has grown from 11.6 million riders in 1995 to 17.7 million riders in FY05." (www.charmeck.org)
