Charterhouse School

Charterhouse School

Godalming, United Kingdom (GB)
Charterhouse is a boarding school founded in 1611 by civil servant Thomas Sutton. The school was built on the site of an old Carthusian monastery and those who attended are known as Old Carthusians. The list of notable former pupils is staggering. The list includes: Roger Williams (co-founder of Rhode Island), John Wesley (founder of Methodism), and Peter Gabriel (member of the band Genesis) to name just three. The list is quite obnoxious actually.
