The Chesapeake Carousel is one of the more interesting and unusual menagerie carousels in operation. It is a mixed carousel assembled with figures by Dentzel, Muller, E. Joy Morris and unknown carvers. The manufacturer of the carousel in its present configuration is not known at this time.

Several outside row Dentzel horses display styles of manes not normally seen. Some of the inner row jumping horses, not shown with the Photo Show, have been converted from prancing horses intended for use on a stationary carousel.
The original ring machine is still on site, but is not in operation.
