This is the scenic view of the Cheshire Plains from a viewpoint layby near the junction of the Congleton Road and Mow Lane approximately one mile northeast of Mow Cop.
The viewpoint is on the route of the Gritstone Tail as it runs between Timbersbrook and Kidsgrove.
At the viewpoint the Rotary Club of Biddulph have built an orientation table which has an engrave stainless plate which shows the direction in the viewer needs to look to pick out distant places at all points of the compass.
