Berry is best known as a guitarist who brought electric performances and a magnetic stage presence. In many ways he is the first rock star, though the term had yet to be coined. Wildly ahead of his time, Berry played with the greatest blues musicians of his time including Muddy Waters, T-Bone, and Johnnie Johnson.

Berry passed away in 2017, from a cardiac arrest. He was found unresponsive in this home and was pronounced dead at the scene when paramedics arrived. The legend was 90 years old and had amassed a net worth of $10 Million. Berry is included in several of Rolling Stone magazine's "greatest of all time" lists; he was ranked fifth on its 2004 and 2011 lists of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" is the only rock-and-roll song included on the Voyager Golden Record.
