Clan Donnachaidh is one of the oldest clans in Scotland. The clan owned Dunalastair castle. They also owned Dunalastair house which now an overgrown ruin sitting near the Dunalastair Reservoir. Not so far from the actual ruins on the same grounds one can find a small enclosed cemetery sitting isolated among many trees. This cemetery is the burial ground for chiefs from Clan Donnachaidh.
