Racing on this 1/3 mile clay oval stock car racing track dates back to the mid-1950's. Citing financial losses, the track closed down after the 2013 season.

For several months after the final checkered flag flew, a potential sale to real estate developers has been in negotiations. As of May 2014, the future of the track is still uncertain.
