Cleydael Castle
Parts of the building date from the 14th century. The castle was the home of the lords of Cleydael until the end of the 18th century. It is now a hotel, particularly noted for its golf course.

Unusually as a hotel the rooms were not numbered, instead each of the bedrooms is given a name, two that I can remember were Cromwell, and Philipe the Goode. Philipe, I was told was not a particularly good person, where according to the story he had more than a passing interest in one of the maids, though she was fond of one of the men servants. They ran off to escape Philipe's attention, but he tracked them and murdered the man servant. I don't know what he did to the maid, so you can figure that out for yourself.

P.S. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, they have ensuite bathrooms and being away from the main roads they are very quiet. The castle does not have a lift so keep your luggage to a minimum. The food in the restaurant was excellent when I stayed there back in about 2001. To enter the castle ther is a drawbridge, while in the grounds there were plenty of car parking spaces. As part of the complex there is a golf course so if you are into golf this would be an ideal place to stay.
