Colin Kaepernik the NFL quarterback purchased this 4,600 sqft house in the Silver Creek neighborhood in 2014 for $2.7 million. Though it has been since reported that Kaepernick made an “investment decision” to list his house in San Jose at somewhere around $2.895 million. The two-story, 4,600-square-foot house has four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. According to the listing, the property benefited from a $300,000 renovation. It was ultimately sold for $3,075,000 in 2017.

The quarterback is likely best known for his activism, refusing to stand for the national anthem as a way to protest police brutality. To Kaepernick the flag represented a nation that was repressing his fellow African Americans. Before long, he was benched, and more or less taken out of the NFL.

Colin Kaepernick had earned a great $20 Million net worth with a peak salary of $12.4 Million. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers in 2011, and served as a backup quarterback until 2012. He eventually found his rhythm, was given the solid opportunity and led the 49ers to the Super Bowl. In June 2014, Colin earned a huge extension deal. The deal would have earned the quarterback $126 million with $61 million guaranteed. The extension also came with a $12.3 million signing bonus. Though Kaepernick chose to leave to become a free agent as it was rumored he was to be cut. When was all said and done, Colin earned just under $40 million from his $126 million contract.

That’s not the only place he’s gotten his cash. It was reported that Colin filed a grievance against the NFL in 2017 alleging that the league and owners conspired to keep him from playing in the NFL. The lawsuit was settled privately in February 2019 with an undisclosed payment. Rumors have it that the amount was most likely around $10 million.
