On Tuesday 28th June 2022 VK7FADZ a radio amateur from Australia reached the summit of Collins Bonnett and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 11 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Collins Bonnett is 1229 metres (4032 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
