Does anyone want to take a crack at figuring out who this is? The Keyhole forum discussed it but never came to a concensus. Perhaps the game going on the Sea Hawks stadium can be used as a clue.
I don't think any band is playing. I think that Too Slim & The Taildraggers are preparing to play. Not the kind of answer you were expecting, was it? hahaha
Reasoning:
First, looked at Wikipedia for dates that the WSU Cougars played at Qwest Field (their logo is in the middle)
Second, looked for construction activity/lack thereof for general dating. For example, houses in my old hood that were replaced are still there. Also, MLK is untouched. This is several years old.
Third, looked at the Bumbershoot site archives for dates of performances. If you look around Seattle Center, this is obviously Bumbershoot, not Folk Life. There aren't enough stalls for the hippies to sell there stuff. Plus, Folk Life is in like May, and the Cougs don't play in May, folks.
Fourth, looked for overlap of Cougs dates and Bumbershoot dates.
At this point I have a 12pm Saturday, August 30, 2002 match and a 7:30pm August 30, 2003 match.
Fifth, I guess. It looks like the cougs match hasn't started yet; there are still fans entering the stadium. However, it's pretty much full and there are cheerleaders on the field, so it's got to be getting close. Therefore, I think the shadows are closer to noon than 7:30.
Sixth, I look at thestranger.com's archives and find out who was playing at the Mainstage at noon on Saturday. I find out that Too Slim & The Taildraggers start at 12:45 or so, but that the doors were open for folks to come in.
Note, if this was 2003, then it's probably between Macy Gray and Shemekia Copeland.

I hate it when I typo important stuff like that.
