Coral Gables City Hall was originally built in 1928 and was designed by Phineas Paist and Harold Steward. It was considered one of the centerpieces of George E. Merrick's design of Coral Gables in order to emphasize the city's Spanish-Mediterranean feel. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
