On Friday, 30th August 2024, Manuel HB9DQM/P, a radio amateur, from Switzerland, reached the summit of Couronne de Bréonna in the Canton Valais of Switzerland. He became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 27 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m, 20m and 17m amateur radio bands.
