On Saturday 6th August 2022 Fernado EA4HGT/P a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Covacha and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 1 contact in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Covacha is 2395 metres (7858 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
