Curing tobacco involves heat and shade to reduce sugar and water content. The process takes between 25 and 45 days depending on climate and the condition of the sheds.
The tobacco in the picture is being air cured. It is from Alejandro Robaina's plantation, Finca El Pinar and is considered to be one the finest tobacco yields in the world.
