"Syrian forces loyal to Assad bombarded the historical Great Mosque of Aleppo where the opposition has been holding guard. As the uprising’s latest victim, the Umayyad Mosque (Great Mosque of Aleppo) has incurred great harm due its strategic positioning leaving it center to the fighting...."

It would appear to be the only mosque that I can find with a courtyard, the little structures in the middle plus the tower. In the pictures, one can see fires and damage done to the structure of the building. The damage isn't visible yet on the satellite pictures, I really wish Google Earth would update pictures of the region.

This is really pissing me off!!!! News outlets and especially those bastards at Google Earth have stopped putting out new satellite imagery of the planet for the last 2 months and pretty much more than 1 year for Syria so there is no way for people like us to spend time looking at battle damage and try to report to military/Intel sites where we could spread the word and images!!!!! I AM SO MAD RIGHT NOW!!!!!
