De Havilland DH-106 Comet 4C

De Havilland DH-106 Comet 4C

Irapuato, Mexico (MX)
Mexicana's XA-NAT was stored at MEX from 12.70 and became N777WA in 5.73. Bought by Redmond Air in 11.79 (along with N888WA - see my shot - now preserved at Everett, and N999WA, scrapped at Chicago) with the intention of forming a club to fly gamblers to Las Vegas. This one remained derelict right through the Eighties (note the Dan-Air wing tank) and survives today in Irapuato Zoo.
