Demi Lovato, the singer and actress bought this stunning Hollywood property in September 2016 for $8.3M. Perhaps cursed, Lovato had some of her worst days here, facing everything from landslides to an overdose. Understandably, she listed the property for sale in 2018, asking for $9.49 Million. It has not yet been confirmed sold. According to People, Lovato is listing the home for sale as she hopes to be, “getting healthy and putting the past behind her.”

She made her debut as a child actress on the children's television series Barney & Friends, but is best recognized from her work with Disney Channel, playing Mitchie Torres in the films Camp Rock and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. She also played the star on the Disney show, Sonny with a Chance.

On 31 January 2017, a landslide nearly destroyed the home, when about 20 tons of land slid down the neighboring hillside, damaging two neighboring homes and blocking off the road for a time. Powerlines were also downed which cut off power to nearly 400 homes. But, miraculously, the home was able to be repaired and was restored to its working order.

Tragically, Lovato suffered a drug overdose in 2018. The singer reportedly struggled with drug use for years prior but survived her scare in 2018. Paramedics were called to the home when she was found collapsed, after taking a mix of from Oxycodone laced with fentanyl. Lovato apparently has not returned to this house since the incident, in an effort to put the past behind her.

This 5,546 sq ft, four bedroom, five bathroom house sits overlooking the Chateau Marmont and boasts views “from downtown to the Pacific Ocean. Inside, there is a chef’s kitchen with marble counter tops, a master suite with dual walk-in closets, a bar, media room, and a “sky lounge terrace. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, white marble countertops and a massive square breakfast island. The kitchen has direct access to the backyard, fully equipped with a zero-edge pool, grill and gazebo.
