Martinos family house

According to the Greek newspaper Proto Thema, this house belongs to the powerful Martinos family.

The family includes Andreas-Ioannis Martinos, nicknamed Kikos, who was once a victim of a foiled kidnapping attempt, his father. His father, Andreas, is the youngest of three brothers. Thanassis Martinos, the owner of Eastern Mediterranean, and Dinos Martinos, the owner of Thenamaris, together control around 135 ships of a total of 14.4 milion deadweight tonnage, including tankers, dry bulk carriers, container ships, and LNG carrier newbuilds on order.

Though one of Greece's most respected shipping families, it is also one of its most invisible, and there has been no official comment on the kidnapping incident from the Martinos family. One first cousin, Georgia Martinou, daughter of Thanassis, is an MP with the governing New Democracy party.
