Disused Railway Bridge in Ängelholm

Disused Railway Bridge in Ängelholm

Ängelholm, Sweden (SE)
The bridge once carried the now closed Ängelholm (also spelt Engelholm) to Klippans Railway in Sweden. The railway opened in 1904 and closed in 1953. In its most active years the railway had 12 passenger trains and 2 cargo trains daily.

What's left today:
Most of the railway has been transformed into the Klippanvägen, main road 13. The road follows most of the former trackbed and passes the old Munka-Tjungby Station. In Ängelholm you can see the former trackbed, too. Near the still active Ängelholm Station you can see the curve of the former trackbed (now a cycle path). Also in Ängelholm you can see the embankment and one bridge abutment near some apartments.
