The old Ullapool Road was once a small one laned road in Scotland. The road was abandoned when a reservoir was built in Loch Glascamoch and flooding the former road. The 835 that now follows the loch has replaced the old road. When the road was active there would not have been any reservoir and the loch would just have been a river.
What's left today:
Most of the road still remains, but can only be seen at low water and can easily be walked along. The tarmac is still visible, the old bridges are still in place and in good condition. Some sections of the road now lies buried under mud, but can still be seen.
