The Duwisib Castle was built by Captain Hans Heinrich von Wolf and his wife, Jayta Humphreys in 1908. The materials were imported from Germany and stonemasons hired from Italy, Sweden and Ireland. The couple left the castle in 1914 while travelling in Europe and never returned as WWI broke out and the Captain died in battle.
