This water park opened on July 5, 1980 with two 800 feet concrete water slides. Five additional slides and a wading pool were eventually added. The park was renamed Doc River's Roaring Rapids in the late 80's. It did not reopen after the 1989 season ended, and the structures have fallen into a state of disrepair.
