On Monday 15th August 2022, Manuel WP4TZ a radio amateur from San Juan, PR reached the summit of El Yunque and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 25 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
