Elm Tree House was completed in 1928 for E. Parmelee Prentice and his wife Alta, the daughter of John D. Rockefeller. It is a 72-room brick and marble Georgian mansion, surrounded by formal gardens, that was designed by James Gamble Rogers. It is now owned by Williams College.
