Auto racing began here on a 1/2 (actually 0.45) mile dirt track in 1970. In 2008, a smaller 3/8 (actually 1/3) mile oval was added. The smaller oval has since become the primary track.

Six classes of stock cars and modifieds race here weekly. The main event on the annual schedule is the Yankee Dirt Track Classic, which covers five nights of racing in mid-September.

This is the only track I have ever seen that served jello shots at the snack bar ($2 each). Also, the track announcer couldn't stop talking about the booze they served in a lounge located on the track property. Great family environment!
