The East Rutherford Operations Center (EROC) of the New York Federal Reserve Bank is a major processing center for currency, checks, and wire transfers. On an annual basis, approximately $200 billion in cash and $900 billion in checks goes through the facility. Typically, the vaults there hold more than $60 billion in cash. The center also plays a central role in the daily electronic transfer of over a trillion dollars in funds and securities.
