First Church in Reno

First Church in Reno (StreetView)
Originally a stopover for pioneers on their way to California, Reno became the home to some of the first trailblazers – Methodist missionaries. Their first church meeting took place in the spring of 1869, not long after the town site of Reno was established. In 1870 the first United Methodist Church building was constructed. The cornerstone for this present church building was laid in 1926.
