Former Ellebjerg Railway Station

Former Ellebjerg Railway Station (StreetView)
Ellebjerg Railway Station was a station on the S-Train Line A in Copenhagen, Denmark. The station was opened in 1972 and closed in 2007. The station was closed when the station "Nye Ellebjerg" (New Ellebjerg) was opened further down the line in 2007. The station had a station building at ground level and stairs going up to a single island platform as the railway was on an embankment.

What's left today:
The station has now become a "ghost station". The station building is still there, but has been damaged by graffiti. The platform area has all been demolished. The tracks going through the station site are still active. Under the bridge that takes the railway across the road there seems to be remains of an old stone staircase. The bus terminal in front of the station is also still being used, but as a car park now.

The area is not opened to the public, but as mentioned above graffiti covers the site and parts of the station building has also been damaged.
