Former Highlandman Railway Station

Former Highlandman Railway Station (StreetView)
Highlandman Railway Station was a small single platform station near Crieff, Scotland. The station opened 13rd March 1856 and closed 6th July 1964. The station was part of the Crieff Junction Railway that was a small side line railway from Crieff Station (also closed) to Gleneagles Station (still active).

Just outside Crieff and near Highlandman Station was the location of the junction where the railway from Callander to Perth met with the Crieff Junction Railway. The markings of the junction can still bee seen in the field on Google Maps, but at ground level you would never have known that two railways met each other in this location.

What's left today:
The single platform and station building have both been restored. The station building is now a private house, the platform now serves as part of the driveway while the trackbed serves as the grass of the garden.
