Former Horringford Railway Station

Former Horringford Railway Station (Google Maps)
No Thumbnail
Horringford was a station on Isle of Wight. The station opened 28th June 1872, even though it was originally planned to open in May 1872, but due to no inspection it was moved to June. It closed 6th February 1956. The station was opened by the Newport Junction Railway and closed by British Railways (Southern Region).

What's left today:
The station building still stands and is now a private residence. The platform also survives, but the wholer area is hidden behind a high fence, which makes it hard to see the former station.
