Former North Weald Underground Station

Former North Weald Underground Station

North Weald Bassett, United Kingdom (GB)
North Weald Station was a tube station on the Central Line of the London Underground. The station is located in North Weald, Essex, England. The station opened 1865 and closed in 1994. The station later reopened in 2004 as a preservation, but closed again in 2007. The station once again opened in 2012 as part of one the many Heritage Railways in Britain.

What's left today:
The whole station remains today. The station building and main platform are being used for the Heritage Railway, while the other platform that was originally used as a passing point still remains, but the track has been lifted since only one train now goes along the track. The small signal box sitting on the passing point platform also still remains today. The original footbridge also still remains.
