Closed in 1991, the 4,254 acre base is to be turned into an industrial park. The facility is on the EPA's Superfund list, with 20 waste sites including toxic sludge dumps, and a fire training area where diesel fuel has contaminated soil and water. Was a SAC bomber base. Still has a National Guard refueling wing based here.
