Plowden Station opened February 1866 (first in timetable) and closed 20.4.1935. Plowden Station was part of the Bishop's Castle Railway in Wales.

Today the station building that incorporates the stationmaster's house and the booking office has now been divided into two residential properties. The station building is now a Grade II listed building. Nothing of the platforms remain.
