Former Ripley Railway Station

Ripley, United Kingdom (GB)
Ripley Station was a railway station on the branch line Little Eaton to Ripley opened by the Midland Railway in England. The orignial station opened 1st September 1856, new station opens 2nd September 1889, closed its passenger services 1st June 1930 and closed its goods services 1st April 1963.

What's left today:
The original station is demolished. The new station was built near the centre of Ripley. The station had double tracks, two platforms and matching single story station buildings. Today none of this remains. The station was demolished in 1985. A cycle and walk path now goes through the site of the station, while the other part is occupied by a builders merchant's warehouse. The only evidence of this once being the railway is the road bridge the cycle and walk path now goes under.
