Former secret Soviet nuclear warhead storage base

Served there as a sergeant In small chemical defense unit from 1990 till the the last days of soviet withdrawal in 1991. We lived in beautifully preserved German military base commanded by notorious General Friedrich Paulus. His beautiful villa was not to far from the base but Polish collective farms runded and looks like was used as grain facility. Beautiful landscape and roads build from cobblestone by Russian POW's Remember how Russan soldiers kept painting over one wall and nazi swastikas always came through. Before we left we dug pits in fields and dump huge amounts of our stored chemicals to be burned. We painted buildings,cleaned area to be given back to polish authorities. Was interesting period of my life and definitely one day I'll go back to visit that place .
