Shawforth was a railway station in England. The station opened 1.12.1881, closed temporary 16.6.1947 and closed completely 14.12.1949. The station was opened by the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway and closed by the London, Midland & Scottish Railway.
What's left today:
The station buildings and platforms have all been demolished and houses are built on the site. However, the subway under the railway and the stairs leading up to the platforms survive and are used as a public footpath.
