Former South Kentish Town Underground Station

London, United Kingdom (GB)
South Kentish Town was an underground station in London that opened 22nd June 1907 and closed 5th June 1924. The station was opened 1907 by the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampsted Railway and later closed in 1924 due to low passenger service. The station has the iconic red surfaced building that most of the station buildings along the CCE&HR line have.

The station was also used as an air-raid shelter during the Blitz in WWII.

What's left today:
The main station building at street level still remains today and has been used as a motorbike shop and currently used as a retailer.

Note:
At one point a train did stop at the station and mistakenly openede its doors thinking that the station was still active (this was after the station had closed).
