Forrest Lucas Estate

Lucas was born in February 1942, in Ramsey, Indiana, where he grew up, the eldest of four children. His parents Raymond and Marie had a small farm in Elkinsville, where he and his three sisters lived in "rural deprivation".
He was educated to a high school level.

Lucas began his career in transportation as a long-haul trucker in 1964 with the Mayflower Moving and Storage company using a semi truck he purchased himself. Throughout the 1970s, Lucas built a fleet of trucks. He claims to have been the first person to obtain a license to haul in 48 states. He moved the trucking operation to Anaheim, California in 1986.

After moving his operation to California, Lucas began studying and mixing different additives when he felt his trucks needed a better lubricant. He then began selling his oil products at truck stops. In 1988, he sold his fleet of eight trucks and went full time into the oil business. By 1989, he had incorporated Lucas Oil Products and opened a plant in Corona, California.

In 2003, Lucas Oil Products opened a second facility in Corydon, Indiana.[3] The company produces lubricants and additives for the general consumer market. It also makes a heavy duty line of products for the industrial and agricultural markets and a high performance line for racing.

Forrest Lucas also owns a 15,000 acre cattle ranch and the naming rights to the National Football League's Indianapolis Colts' stadium.

During the 2016 presidential transition of power, Lucas was reported to be in consideration for a high-level appointment in Donald Trump's administration.

Mr. Lucas is worth north of $300 million.
