French Foreign Legion Fort (Mirleft Castle / Fort Tidli)
A relatively recent site that’s easy to access—you can drive right up in a standard car. Just 200 meters from the fort, there’s a pleasant hotel, making it a convenient stop.
The structure itself is deteriorating quickly, as locals have been removing building materials over time. A renovation was reportedly planned a few years ago, but the local municipality ultimately rejected it.
I visited it two years ago and its worth the trip. Nice beach near by.
