The giant Bonga Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel was built by Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea in 2002 for the owner operator Shell Nigeria. She arrived to Newcastle on 16 November 2002 for installation of topside processing system and left 19 October 2003. Bonga is the largest FPSO in the world with the length of 305 metres, width of 58 metres and draught of 23.4 metres.
