Interiors filmed, fittingly, at Hammer Films’ old Bray Studio near Maidenhead in Berkshire.
Frank-N-Furter’s mansion is, conveniently, alongside the studio, and has naturally figured in a whole slew of horror movies. It was Oakley Court, a Victorian Gothic folly that lay for many years in a state of disrepair. It’s been seen in dozens of movies, particularly Hammer films, including The Curse of Frankenstein and The Plague of the Zombies.
It has since been renovated and is now the rather swanky Oakley Court Hotel.
