Franklin's Terror - Found

The second of Sir John Franklins' Ships (Erebus/Terror) has been found by Arctic Research Foundation Ship: Martin Bergmann and other agencies.

Debris from one of the ships was found on Hat Island (VG Map #190943) with the intact ship remains found on the bottom of Queen Maud Gulf; east of Hat Island. Co-ordinates have not been released.

The exact location of Terror has not been released; but is south of where it was thought to have been abandoned.
