French frigate "Hermione"

French frigate "Hermione"

Lunenburg, Canada (CA)
The Hermione is a Concorde class frigate built as a reproduction of the 1779 Hermione. The original ship achieved fame by transporting Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, simply known as Lafayette to the United States to help fight in the American Revolutionary War.

In 2015 the frigate made the transatlantic voyage again, stopping at several American ports. This submission shows her at her last stop in Lunenburg before returning to Brest.
