Wilder married beloved starlette the eternally lovable Gilda Radner known for her Saturday Night Live fame. Wilder was devastated when she died of ovarian cancer in 1989. In his twilight years, Wilder became a novelist, writing a memoir and several serious novels. Gene Wilder died on August 29, 2016 at the age of 83.
